Detector¶
The photon-counting area detectors that record the coherent far-field diffraction pattern. PVs verified against startup/30-area-detectors.py and cditools/eiger_async.py / merlin_async.py.

Note
CDI's measurement lives on its area detectors: an Eiger2 and a Merlin record the far-field coherent-diffraction pattern (a single frame for forward CDI, a scan of frames for ptychography, a rocking series for Bragg CDI). Both reuse Camera. The hardware exposure-gating chain is not exposed in source (TIMING-1); the detectors carry internal and external trigger modes in their device classes.
